Brass Fittings

The brass fittings were for a customer in the process industry selling to a mold maker. To be filled, the mold had to go from a British thread to a US NPT thread, and required many fittings to make the transition. KEM designed a single threaded fitting that went from British to NPT, making the transition much quicker to assemble and reducing potential leak points.

Steel Seals

An automotive customer requires seals as part of a large assembly and did not have the correct size machines in their shop. KEM came to the rescue offering the precision and repeatability required for this high-tolerance application.

Pneumatic Gripper Fingers

This customer in the laser machine industry needed custom, high precision, steel gripper fingers for their pneumatic gripper. The pneumatic gripper is used on a cobot in their plant to produce a high volume of parts repeatably.

Drilling Plastic Knobs

A customer that makes thermoplastic parts needed two holes of precise size, thread and location drilled into knobs they produce for measurement machines. The scale of production was suitable for one of our cobots. KEM designed and fabricated a custom loading tray, locator for the pullback chuck in the CNC mill, and jaws for the cobot’s electronic gripper to ensure the unusual contour of this part could be gripped reliably and with precision. This ensured the holes drilled into the cap met the customer spec every time.

Drone Component

This aluminum part had re be extremely high precision to meet the needs of a drone manufacturer. KEM worked with the end customer to recommend a slight modification of the design to ensure higher durability of the part in the customer’s final build.
